Service I offer and Fees

Birth Doula Service and Fees (this service is available either with or without the pn doula service.)

I would visit you on at least two occasions during your pregnancy firstly to discuss your needs and plans for the labour and birth, and secondly for us to get to know each other.

As your Birth Doula I would be available on call 24/7 for 4 weeks, 2 before and 2 after your expected due date. I would be present with you at your labour and birth from the time you call me to a few hours after your baby arrives, when you are happy for me to leave.

I would also visit you post natally.

I am currently classed as a Recognised Doula with Doula UK having passed the training and recognition process. Details of this process can be found at www.doula.org.uk.

Post natal Doula service and Fees (this service is available either with or without the birth doula service.)

As a post natal Doula I aim to support and encourage the mother without ever being judgemental or critical.

I’m happy to :-

• Help establish feeding (either breast or bottle)
• Help practically with the baby
• Do light housework
• Cook basic meals and snacks
• Be a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on
• Give guidance and suggestions if and when needed

I will always work to the best of my ability within the Doula UK** code of practice

I am willing to travel and charge 35p per mile if you live more than 8 miles away from my home in Fareham.

It is common for post natal doulas to work for 4 hours daily, but I am as flexible as my own family commitments allow. I will be happy to discuss your individual requirements at interview.

As a fully recognized Postnatal Doula my hourly charge is £15, plus traveling expenses at 35p/mile if you live further than 8 miles away from my home.
